4 Day Kruger Park Special
This
safari to the Kruger National Park combines one night of camping with two nights
accommodation in traditional rondavels in one of the Kruger National Park rest
camps. This short trip focuses on
game viewing, bird watching and the natural beauty of the Mpumalanga Province.
The trip is ideal for students wanting a small taste of Africa with the
opportunity to view the Big Five.
Day 1
Johannesburg - Blyde River Canyon
Depart
Johannesburg 06h30 and travel east towards Belfast. Stop in Dullstroom for a special 1hr Raptor show where we
learn more about eagles, hawks and other birds of prey and are able to see these
wonderful birds up close and personal. The
next stop is the town of Sabie where we visit some of the most beautiful
waterfalls in the area. Pilgrims
Rest is a national monument town where we will have a picnic lunch and spend
some time in walking through this window onto the past.
Gods Window, Bourkes Luck potholes and then the spectacular Blyde River
canyon complete the days activities before we overnight (camp), close to Blyde
River.
Day 2
Blyde River Canyon - Kruger National Park
A
welcome breakfast after breaking camp and then onwards to Kruger National Park.
World famous and beautiful, the Kruger has much to offer.
We spend the day driving in the Park and visiting game hides. We stay in chalets at one of the Krugers’ many rest camps.
Day 3
Kruger National Park
Early
morning game drive and then brunch at one of the picnic areas.
After a long day exploring more of the park we relax beside the swimming
pool in the afternoon. Note that days are flexible, depending on game sightings and
game location.
Day 4
Kruger - Johannesburg
Exiting
Kruger we travel eastwards towards Waterval Onder and Elandskrans Falls,
stopping for curio shopping en-route. Return
to JHB in the late afternoon. Lunch
own expense.
