Safari Brothers would like to extend the
warmest African welcome to all Exchange students coming to beautiful South
Africa. We are a Safari/Tour
company who operate participation type tours throughout the Southern region of
Africa.
Our speciality is really wild
safaris into the more remote parts of Africa and then of course our Foreign
exchange student tours that have made many a foreign student want to return to
the warmest continent of all…Africa.
We have eight years experience in the safari
and tourism industry and the staff we employ are fun, experienced individuals
who have a lust for life.
Herewith is a brief outline of Safari Bros. the company as well as possible tours that you might want to book with us as part of your extra activities during your exchange program.
General Information
The Exchange Student governing body,JCR, have
worked in conjunction with Safari Brothers to develop unique tours for
international exchange students in South Africa.
These tours
are closely overseen and every effort
is made to maintain and uphold JCR standards - holding the safety and well-being
of students as primary concern, while exposing them to a multi-faceted African
experience.
Safari Brothers is a registered tour-operator based in Johannesburg and operating throughout Southern Africa. All our guides are young at heart, professional people who are members of FGASA (governing body for field guides in South Africa). Guides are evaluated and examined by FGASA according to the highest standards which are overseen by THETA. This ensures that guides are well versed in many fields including zoology, botany, geology, astronomy, mechanical skills and culture. All guides are in possession of professional driving permits and first-aid certificates.

Tour prices include accommodation, park
entries, fuel and all specified meals. Prices exclude snacks, soft-drinks and
optional extra activities.
General Rules
Students are to abide by JCR Rules.
Students are to adhere to the guides’
instructions at all times.
Tour vehicles and equipment are to be kept
clean and any damage made by any student to Safari Bros property or
sub-contractors’ property will be for the students expense.
These are participation tours - students are
therefore required to assist with general chores such as the packing of the
vehicle, meal preparation and cleaning up.
Students must inform Safari Bros of any
medical condition or dietary requirement prior to tour commencement.
Students are to bring their own sleeping bags
and flashlights.
Wild animals are not to be fed or harassed at
any time.
Littering is not permitted or tolerated.
Students are not permitted to participate in
any extreme activities such as bungy-jumping, snorkeling, climbing or
rafting without prior consent and approval of their natural parents.
Safari Bros vehicles are covered by a
compulsory passenger liability insurance.
First aid kits are available on all tours.
Malaria prophylactics are recommended for
students taking Kruger Park trips.
Due to the nature
of adventure activities and unforeseen circumstances,
neither Safari
Brothers, it’s employees, sub-contractors or JCR can be held
responsible for any injury or claim that is made against them.
